To prepare for the upcoming Flying Pig races, the ArtsWave Young Professionals group (http://www.theartswave.org/connect/young-professionals-meetup) is hosting a 3-session post-work walking group, using the go Vibrant downtown walking routes. The group hopes to attract many walkers and runners who have never participated in the Pig before, as well as more seasoned veterans. Their first event takes place on Wednesday, April 17th, and will cover the 1 mile path; Wednesday, April 24th will cover 2 miles; and Wednesday, May 1st will cover 3 miles. (Prepare to see several public ArtWorks murals along the way as well!) Each walking session begins at 5:30pm at Fountain Square, and afterwards, walkers/runners are invited to join the ArtsWave YP at the new downtown Panera location. In support of the event, Panera has donated 50 $5 gift cards for the walkers, available until supplies run out. All events are free and open to the public, and are not just for YPs. The more the merrier!
