According to a new study, when it comes to physical activity, every single minute of moderate to vigorous physical exercise that you do counts towards lowering your BMI and body weight. This opposes the idea that you must perform exercise in bouts of at least 10 minutes for results. In other words, as long as the physical output is about the same when you walk your dog an extra five minutes or park five minutes away from your work, physically speaking the health benefits will be about the same.
