Magnesium is one of the most underestimated minerals in the world. Magnesium has extraordinary benefits that include:

  • Restores cellular magnesium levels
  • Natural cellular protectant
  • Facilitates safe and effective detoxification
  • Relief of aches, pains and spasms
  • Elevates mood and relieves stress
  • Encourages healthy skin tissue
  • Helps maintain proper muscle function
  • Boosts energy levels
  • Supports a healthy immune system
  • Balances the hormonal system
  • Calms overactive nerves
  • Improves quality of sleep

Additionally, healthy magnesium levels have been linked to lowered blood pressure, reduced incidence of Type 2 diabetes, emergency migraine treatment, reduced symptoms of asthma, and improved memory. Find out how this amazing mineral helped me!

Magnesium for Pain
Recently, I began experiencing severe pain in my neck, back and shoulder region. It began suddenly after a routine workout. The discomfort gradually became debilitating. After several sleepless nights, multiple visits to the doctor, X-rays and a MRI, it was finally determined that I had a pinched nerve and bulging disk in the upper part of my back/spine region. I was relieved to know the culprit and to find out I wouldn’t require surgery — though, that was only if it got better.

At one point, I felt like I was in a race with time, hoping to get better before my injury got worse. It was determined that my disk problem was likely a result of a previous car accident I had experienced several years ago. Nonetheless, the pain was persistent and to no avail. It seemed I’d tried everything — from massage therapy to acupuncture, chiropractic services to heat/cold applications — all of which brought little to no relief. It was difficult to do practically everything: walking, driving, writing, reading, working out, and even sleeping were challenges. Daily living tasks, which I normally performed with ease, like combing my hair or mopping the floor, now brought me excruciating pain.

I’d increasingly heard good things about magnesium, and it was highly recommended by a holistic specialist. That was all I needed to do my homework. I started my exhaustive research and almost everything I found raved about the benefits of magnesium.I couldn’t get to Whole Foods fast enough to get this miracle mineral in my anxiously awaiting hands. I had to try it. After all, what did I have to lose?

I immediately started applying pure magnesium oil topically, bathing in it (Epson salt soaks), as well as taking it orally. Although I am not completely pain free, with the help of magnesium and intermittent physical therapy, I am definitely more comfortable and progressively getting better. Magnesium came to the rescue.

Magnesium for Health
Minerals that are absorbed into the body are utilized as “ions” and are circulated throughout the body through our blood. Magnesium is filtered by our kidneys, and is used by our cells in order to perform routine functions such as creating energy, building hormones, maintaining cells and assisting with bodily movement.

Magnesium has been identified as an overlooked key to good health, with a number of medical researchers now recommending increases to the RDA (recommended daily allowance) for magnesium. Experts suggest as much as double the current recommendations in order to ensure protection from diseases such as osteoporosis and hypertension.

Magnesium helps our bodies maintain balance, avoid illness, perform well under stress, and maintain a general state of good health.
